Ben Appel - Solo

I had the pleasure of recording these two songs at Berklee College of Music's studio "the Arch."

The first song is an original called "Just Know That I Love You Most Of All" with a completely improvised arrangement. The melody and chords of this song are very sweet and simple; the simplicity of the song allows it to be stretched far and in many different directions.

The second recording is my version of the old jazz standard "The Most Beautiful Girl In the World." Usually a fast, high energy song for big bands and singers, I decided to play it as a ballad and completely reharmonize it so that the music could reflect the beauty of the song's message.
